GIF (Graphics Interchange Format)

The ile format developed by CompuServe to store images. GIFs support 256 colors and are often used for Web images because they compress well.

Globalization

1) The tailoring of an offering to include clear, grammatically correct text that eliminates slang, gender references, and cultural or generational idioms. 2) The process of deploying a single system worldwide that meets a variety of needs. 3) Integrating several working systems into one.

Glossary

An alphabetical list of technical terms within a subject field, including definitions. A glossary may also be a list of unusual or obsolete terms.

Government Documents

Any materials published by governments such as reports, maps, statistics, congressional data, tax information, and laws are considered government documents. Reports, books, and journals published by governments.

Granularity

The degree of detail something can be broken down into, or the number of discrete components making up any type of system. In e-learning, granularity is defined by the number of content chunks.
